en بررسی ارتباط بیماری پریودنتال و آرتریت روماتوئید در بیماران مراجعه کننده به بیمارستان شهید محمدی بندرعباس Relationship of Periodontal disease parameters and rheumatoid arthritis in patient that referred to Bandar Abbas Shahid Mohammadi Hospital پریودنتیکس Periodontics مقاله پژوهشي Research Paper مقدمه: بیماری پریودنتال با علائم تحلیل استخوان و از دست دادن دندان در بسیاری از افراد جامعه از جمله افراد مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید دیده می شود. بیماران مبتلا به روماتیسم مفصلی علاوه بر ناتوانی در رعایت بهداشت دهان و دندان، از اختلالات سیستم ایمنی نیز رنج می برند که می تواند آنها را در برابر بیماری های پریودنتال آسیب پذیرتر کند. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی شیوع بیماری پریودنتال در بیماران مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید بود. مواد و روش‌ها: شاخص های پریودنتال (شاخص پلاک، شاخص خونریزی، شاخص لثه، CAL) در 113 بیمار مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید بررسی شد و پس از وارد کردن اطلاعات در پرسش‌نامه‌ با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 21 (SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, U.S.A.) مورد تجزیه و تحلیل آماری قرار گرفت. یافته‌ها: بیماران مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید شامل 108 زن (95.5%) و 5 مرد (4.5%) با میانگین سنی 50 سال بودند.  میانگین شاخص لثه‌ای 1.7 (8 درصد با شاخص لثه صفر و 92 درصد با شاخص لثه یک به بالا)، میانگین شاخص خونریزی لثه 0.69 (32 درصد با شاخص لثه صفر و 68 درصد با خونریزی بعد از پروبینگ سالکوس لثه) بود.  شاخص پلاک 1.7 (9% با شاخص پلاک صفر و 91% با  شاخص پلاک یک و بالاتر) و میانگین CAL  1/4 میلی متر بود. نتیجه‌گیری: در بیماران مبتلا به آرتریت روماتوئید، شاخص‌های بیماری‌های پریودنتال بسیار بالا بوده و این بیماران وضعیت پریودنتال نامساعدی داشتند. علاوه بر اثرات این بیماری التهابی مزمن و نقص ایمنی ، این وضعیت ممکن است به دلیل ناتوانی فیزیکی در حفظ سلامت دهان و دندان باشد. همچنین به دنبال مصرف داروهای ضد روماتیسمی  اثرات نامساعد روی لثه بیماران  مشهود است. واژه‌های کلیدی: آرتریت روماتوئید، بیماری‌های پریودنتال، شاخص لثه، شاخص‌های پلاک دندانی، از دست رفتن چسبندگی پریودنتال، بیماری‌های پریودنتال   <table class="MsoTableGrid" style="width:632px; border-collapse:collapse; border:none" width="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="border-bottom:2px double black; width:632px; padding:0in 7px 0in 7px; height:495px; border-top:2px double black; border-right:none; border-left:none" valign="top"> <div dir="rtl" style="text-align: left;">Introduction: Periodontal disease, characterized by bone resorption and tooth loss, is common in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The physical limitations associated with RA, compounded by immunc systems dysfunction, can predispose these patients to periodontal disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the parameters of periodontal disease and RA in patients referred to Bandar Abbas Shahid Mohammadi Hospital.</div> Materials & Methods: A total of 113 patients diagnosed with RA were evaluated for periodontal status using indices such as plaque index, bleeding index, gingival index, and clinical attachment loss (CAL). Data collcection through questionnaires that collected information on demographic variables and anelyzed. Results: of the participantes, 108 (95.5%) were female and 5 (4.5%) were male, with a mean age of 50 years. The mean gingival index was 1.7, with 8% of patients having a gingival index of zero and 92% having a gingival index of ≥1. The mean gingival bleeding index was 0.69, with 32% having a zero index and 68% showing bleeding on probing. The mean plaque index was reported as 1.7, with 9% having a zero index and 91% having an index of ≥1. The mean CAL was measured at 4.1 mm. Conclusion: <a name="_Hlk184329802">The periodontal indices in Studied patients with RA were significantly high, indicating poor periodontal health. This deterioration may be attributed to the chronic inflammatory nature of RA, host immunodeficiency and the physical challenges of maintaining oral hygiene. </a>It is therefore very importent for these patients to maintain oral hygiene and have regular and thorough check-ups by a dentist.
